Skype is giving away credits. W00t! I got this in my email today:
As a thank you for using Skype, we’d like to give you a little gift that can do a lot. We’re giving you some free Skype Credit so you can call worldwide to anyone you like, on their mobile or landline using Skype for up to 75 minutes* – for free.
It’s perfect for when you can’t make a free Skype to Skype call.
Start using your free Skype credit today by following these three simple steps.
1. Sign in to your account at
2. Copy the voucher code below:
3. Paste the code into the voucher box
And that’s it – happy calling.
For credit vouchers, the Skype Credit will be applied to your Skype account. *75 minutes is based on the Skype Global Rate of 2.3 cents per minute (US Dollars) to call landlines in 30 countries. See list here. If your Skype Credit balance is not maintained in US Dollars the amount of free credit will be converted to your chosen currency at the conversion rate seen in the currency exchange section on ‘My Account’. The actual number of minutes you can redeem with this offer may vary based on your calling destination and whether you call a landline or mobile phone. A connection fee may apply; see here. Offer expires December 31st, 2011.
Being the ever so suspicious me, I didn’t click on the link. Since I’m logged in to Skype anyways, I tried looking in the application where I could redeem vouchers. If you go to your account, and a new page will pop up and there’s a redeem voucher link at the lower part of the page.
Thank you Skype!
I wasn’t able to post anything yesterday because I had to go with my kid to his field trip. I salute all teachers! I don’t know how they do it. Seriously, just 10 minutes in a bus full of kids and I was already getting a migraine attack. It was a stressful and exhausting day, but it was fun. My kid had a blast! We went to Philippine Air Force Museum, Jose Rizal’s execution site in Luneta, Manila Cathedral, Mall of Asia for lunch, Manila Film Center, GSIS Museum, and Star City. The last leg of the trip felt like a workout lol! I was so tired I didn’t even bother having snacks when we got home. Anyway, I’ll post about these places later on. Ciao!
I always talk about getting back into shape, but I never exercise. Well not never maybe, but rarely.

I used to be very active back in grade school and high school playing volleyball for the varsity team in our school. In college, I wasn’t exercising or doing any sports, but I love walking around. I used to walk from our school to the nearby mall and back. Probably because I wasn’t earning money then and I was very careful in spending that if it’s a walking distance, I’d rather walk than ride a jeep. I was doing the same thing when I started working, but as I earn more, I became lazier. I’ll take a jeep even if it’s walking distance. If it requires 2 or more jeep rides, I’ll take a cab. Baby Daddy was the same. I was weighing 100 lbs before and he was probably around 140 to 160 lbs, yes he was thin back then. Now I’m at 120 lbs and he’s at 220 to 240 lbs.
I can probably shed of those extra 20 lbs if I exercise. I tried, I even signed up at the gym in our clubhouse. By my laziness gets the better of me. I’ll go to the gym for 3 days maybe when I feel guilty about my weight gain, then stop going again. We have a pool where you can do laps, but I don’t. The only exercise I have right now is doing house chores and running after my kid. I’m still thankful though that despite this, I never became overweight. Mind you, I eat a lot and I’m not kidding. Sometimes, I eat more than Baby Daddy does lol! But maybe one day, just maybe, I’ll have an active lifestyle again
As promised, here’s my experience in playing the SWTOR weekend beta. Too bad I don’t have photos. Every time I try to get a screen shot, it just ends up with just a blacked out image. Baby daddy had the same problem too, and he’s using his own PC. We had some friends though who were able to do screen shots though.
So anyway, I had a Sith Inquisitor which I managed to level to 7. I know right! Then I decided I wanna try out the light side. So I leveled a Jedi Consular instead. I was able to get it to level 16.
The long conversations with the NPCs bored the hell out of me, honestly. It’s not like WoW wherein when you get a quest, a window will just pop up with the text of what the NPC is going to say, and then you just accept or decline. For SWTOR, the game will go into like a cinematic mode and the NPC will talk. Your answers to the NPC’s questions will affect some factors in the game like your companion‘s affection and your points towards the light or the dark side of the force. At a certain level, you’ll get a companion which levels along with you. You can equip gears and weapons to your companion. You also have the option to use your companion or not for quests. I think they count as a member for group quests. You’ll also get your own ship at around 15 or 16 I think. After I had the ship, I just played some space combat then I decided I had enough of the beta. In space combats, you will maneuver your ship and shoot through obstacles and of course, shoot the ships of the enemy.
Chances are I’ll be getting SWTOR just so I have an MMORPG to play, but I’m not too excited about it just like I was excited with WoW. but who knows, maybe I’ll also get addicted to it once I get my toon geared.
This video has been circulating for couple of days now.
Just because he reacted that way doesn’t automatically mean he’s gay. And so what if he is? You don’t need to be a straight guy to be a successful Supreme Court Spokesperson.
We bought live Tilapia in the market today. I though it would be a shame to just fry up fresh fish so I thought of making pinaputok na tilapia instead. I know there are a lot of ways to do this recipe.
Pinaputok na Tilapia
2 pieces Tilapia
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 onion, minced
1 small ginger, minced
1 tomato, diced
2 tbsp fresh calamansi juice
2 tbsp soy sauce
- Mix the ingredients except for the Tilapia, in a bowl.
- Scoop the mixed ingredients and stuff it in the Tilapia’s belly.
- Put some of the mixture in a laid out foil, put the stuffed Tilapia on top of it, then put some more mixture on top. Fold the sides of the foil and wrap the Tilapia tightly.
- Put it in a pan and cover. Wait 4 to 5 minutes then turn the Tilapia. Cook for another 4 to 5 minutes. You will know it’s cooked when the foil looks like it’s about to pop open.
I woke up today with an email from Trion Worlds. Rift is on sale! You can get the Standard Edition for $0. Yup, it’s free!
The Standard edition will give you access to the complete Rift game via downloadable client. It doesn’t include a complimentary gameplay time though unlike the other editions. You need either a game time card or a subscription to play. Subscription plans are $14.99/month, $38.97/3 months, $65.94/6 months, and $119.88/year.
I played Rift for a while after I quit WoW. I know a lot of people who quit WoW played this game too. It’s also a good game, nice graphics. But I never really got into the same level of addiction I got with WoW. Yeah, the 2 to 3 days no sleep, sleep for 6 to 12 hours then play again kind of addiction lol!
